FAQ: Can tables in different databases be used in a Source Qualifier transformation?
Sources from two databases of the same type database type (and with the same connection information), can be joined in one Source Qualifier using SQL join syntax.
If the two databases are of different types, (Example: Oracle and DB2) then they cannot be joined in a Source Qualifier. This includes any two tables that require different relational connections in the session (even if they are of the same database type).

If each table uses a different relation connection then each table must be added to the mapping as a Source Definition and each Source Qualifier can then be joined using a Joiner transformation.
