FAQ: Can custom properties be set in a PowerCenter Session task?
Answer
PowerCenter custom properties (undocumented PowerCenter parameters) can be specified in a session task as follows:
  1. Edit the session.

  2. Select the Config Object tab.

  3. Scroll to the Custom Properties advanced attribute.

  4. Enter the value of the custom property.

  5. Save the session.

Note

This option only applies to session-related Integration Service custom properties (those which affect the DTM process).

More Information
Undocumented flags can be defined under Custom Properties section of the Integration Service. However, this affects all sessions run under this service.
For example, if OptimizeODBCRead=No is set under the Integration Service Custom Properties, then all the sessions (this Integration Service is assigned to) would have array reads disabled from the ODBC connection. This would also impact the sessions that do not require this option.
