FAQ: What is the purpose of the Java.exe file in the client installation folder?
Answer

The Java.exe file in the client installation folder is used to validate the Java transformation when a PowerCenter mapping contains a Java transformation.
This version of Java does not replace the default Java used by Microsoft Internet Explorer.
