FAQ: Why does Informatica Cloud secure agent process only two tasks at a time?
Answer
The Informatica Cloud Secure Agent by default is set to run two jobs concurrently. Therefore, if more than two jobs are scheduled to run at any given point of time, the third job has to wait until the one of the previous jobs end.

It is possible to manually override this and get more jobs run concurrently by performing the following :

The property to enable more processes is called maxDTMProcesses.

1. Navigate to Configure-> Runtime Environments
2. Click on your agent name and click Edit
3. Under 'Custom Configuration Details', add the parameter maxDTMProcesses as show in screen print.

Type: Tomcat
Sub-type: INFO
Name: maxDTMProcesses
Value: 4

4. Agent will automatically bring up the new version of Data Integration Server.

Setting this parameter will enable the secure agent to run 4 concurrent task / 4 tasks in parallel

More Information
To avoid agent failures due to system resources, do not increase it to more than what the system can accommodate. It is recommended to have multiple secure agents installed on the Org and distribute the load evenly on the agents instead of running all the tasks using one secure agent.
