FAQ: What are the Informatica Intelligent Cloud Services (IICS) and IICS Preview/Sandbox IP address ranges to be whitelisted on the Organization firewall?
Answer

If the company uses a protective firewall, you will need to include Informatica Intelligent Cloud Services (IICS) IP address ranges to the list of approved IP addresses. 

This ensures that the Informatica Cloud Secure Agent and related services can connect to IICS servers to perform all necessary tasks.

These IP addresses also need to be allowed for user web browsers to be able to access and work on the IICS application.


This KB will cover IP addresses for the IICS Preview environment, IICS Identity Service IP Addresses and the Separate IP Address ranges for North America, European and APJ PODs. 

To find out which POD your orgs are migrating to, you will be informed via email when you are notified of your migration dates as seen in the email snippet below:

Port: 

The Secure Agent makes outbound communication to the Informatica Cloud server. The port to be opened is 443 (HTTPS) for outbound communication.


Domain Name:

If the company firewall allows domain name whitelisting, you may choose to whitelist the IICS domain like: *.informaticacloud.com


IP Address Ranges for IICS:

If IP addresses need to be explicitly whitelisted on the Firewall, please follow the IP Address Ranges mentioned below.

The IP address ranges are specified based on the different IICS pods, so one may whitelist only the IP address ranges specific to their respective pod.


Informatica Intelligent Cloud Services has instances in North America and Europe. The IP addresses for both the instances are mentioned below.


The North America pod Identity Service and Package Dependency Manager is common for all orgs in the North America (dm-us.informaticacloud.com) instance, hence the Identity Service and Package Dependency Manager IP address ranges need to be whitelisted by all customers in North American pod.


The European Union pod Identity Service is common for all orgs in the European Union (dm-em.informaticacloud.com) instance, hence the EU Identity Service IP address ranges need to be whitelisted by all EU pod customers.


The Asia Pacific Japan pod Identity Service is common for all orgs in the Asia Pacific (dm-ap.informaticacloud.com) instance, hence the APJ Identity Service IP address ranges need to be whitelisted by all APJ pod customers.

The pod information can also be found in the URL after logging into the IICS application and clicking on any app Data Integration/Administrator/Monitor.


For North America Instance:

If the URL is: 

na1.dm-us.informaticacloud.com that means the pod is US West 1

na2.dm-us.informaticacloud.com that means the pod is US East 2

usw3.dm-us.informaticacloud.com that means the pod is US West 3

use4.dm-us.informaticacloud.com  that means the pod is US East 2

use6.dm-us.informaticacloud.com  that means the pod is US East 6


For European Union instance

If the URL is:

emw1.dm-em.informaticacloud.com that means the pod is EU West 1


For Asia Pacific instance

If the URL is:

apse1.dm-ap.informaticacloud.com that means the pod is AP South East 1
