HOW TO: Extract records which do not satisfy a join condition using a Joiner transformation in a PowerCenter Mapping
Solution

To extract records out of the Joiner transformation, do the following:

  1. Select either the Detailed Outer Join, Master Outer Join or Full Outer Join for the Joiner transformation Join Type
  2. Filter out the records that met the join condition.

Example

For a master Source Definition ( TableA ) and a detail Source Definition (TableB) with key columns do the following:

  1. Enter a Join condition as TableA.key = TableB.key.
  2. Select the Detail Outer Join as the Join Type.
  3. Then, using a Filter or Router transformation enter the following for the ( Group ) Filter Condition :

    TABLEB.KEY =NULL

  4. Records that meet this condition can be sent to a target table or file.
