HOW TO: Generate a CSM file and upload it to My Support using the Informatica Administrator

By Default, CSM has been generated on the node startup from Informatica 961HF2 onwards. The default file location of the CSM is as follows:



Check the latest files are available. If not, follow the below steps to generate the CSM manually. 

To generate a Configuration Support Manager (CSM) file and upload it to Informatica Network ( using the Informatica Administrator, do the following:

  1. Log in to Informatica Administrator and click, Manage tab > Services and Nodes (Domain in 9.x, 10.x).
  2. On the upper right-hand side, click the Diagnostics tab. Your domain must be selected in the domain navigator.
  3. Select the node where you want to run CSM. Select Actions> Generate Diagnostics. This will take a few minutes to complete.
  4. You will see the filename generated in the node. To save the file, right-click it, and choose Save Target As. (This may not work for some browsers), but you could access the file via the file system.
  5. If you want to upload it to your project, click Actions> Upload Diagnostics. You will then be prompted to log into Informatica Network
  6. You will see a message that will indicate if the upload was successful.
