HOW TO: Use AES_ENCRYPT and AES_DECRYPT functions in a DSS Task
Solution

AES_DECRYPT needs binary data as input. Hence when we first encrypt the data using the AES_ENCRYPT function, the data transformed by this function has to be encoded in base64 format. This transformed data can then be used as an input to the AES_DECRYPT function.

E.g: This will be done in 2 steps. In step 1, the first DSS task will encrypt the data, convert to base64 format and push to a target field in the target selected. In step 2, one has to create another DSS task and use the target created in Step 1 as a source.

Step 1: ENC_BASE64(AES_ENCRYPT('String', 'key')) --> [Target Field]. This target field will be used as the input in Step 2.
Step2: AES_DECRYPT(DEC_BASE64(TARGET FIELD),'key')
