HOW TO: Change cache directory for IICS Data Integration cache files (for joiner, sorter, aggregator, and lookup transformations)
Solution
Informatica Cloud will create cache files in the Secure Agent machine when using transformations like joiner, sorter, aggregator, lookup and so on.
If the machine does not have enough space on the drive where the agent is installed, you would get the following error when running the task:
CMN_1117 ERROR: Could not allocate space in file [%s]. CMN_1117 [..\..\rdtmDir\cache\PMJNR401600662_26_0.dat]

You can change the cache directory for the Informatica Cloud cache files by performing the following steps:
  1. On Informatica Cloud, navigate to Administrator > Runtime Environments.
  2. Edit the corresponding agent and under “System Configuration Details” select “DTM” from the dropdown. 
  3. Scroll down to the section for “$PMCacheDir” and “$PMTempDir” .
  4. Click the pencil (edit) icon on the right and add the directory location where you want the cache and temp file to be created. It needs to be valid location like “D:\cache” or "/mnt/temp/"
  5. Click “OK” to save the changes. 
  6. This will create a new version of Data Integration Service, wait for this new version to become up and running
  7. Any tasks triggered after this will write to the location specified​
