HOW TO: Change the sender name in axon notification emails in Axon
Solution
In Axon Data Governance, the open the common.yml file available in the following location:

<INSTALLATION_DIRECTORY>/axonhome/axon/app/config/common.yml

 

Under Value list Config Settings > Modify the following property:

Email: Set it to the desired Sender’s Email-id

(by default it is set to support@informatica.com))

  1. Run the following command to clear the cache:
    rm -rf <INSTALLATION_DIRECTORY>/axonhome/axon/app/cache/*
  2. Type the following commands to restart the microservices:
    service memcached restart
    service httpd restart

    OR (Instead of Steps 1. and 2. perform the following if Axon v5.4 or greater)

    Starting from Axon 5.4 : 

              In the Linux environment, run the following command to clear the Axon cache and restart the necessary services:

                              sh <INSTALLATION_DIR>/axonhome/axon/app/paramsync

    Starting from Axon 6.2 : 

                     In the Linux environment, run the following command to clear the Axon cache and restart the necessary services:

                          sh <INSTALLATION_DIR>/axonhome/third-party-app/scripts/paramsync


           When you run the paramsync script, Axon restarts the HTTPD, Memcached, and email notification services.


       3.Run the following command to grant permission on cache directory prior 5.4 version :

          setfacl -R -m u:apache:rwx <install_dir>/axonhome/axon/app/cache
