HOW TO: Avoid users from viewing objects without logging in to Axon
In Axon Data Governance, users who have not logged can view the objects which have the Axon Viewing option set to 'Public'. This can be avoided by doing the following setting:
Set Axon Viewing=Non Public
The above method will not work for the following objects since they do not have any option to set the Axon Viewing to 'Non Public':
  • People
  • Org unit
  • Attribute
  • Roles
When all the objects need to be hidden from non-logged in users, do as follows:
  1. Enable SSO for Axon.
  2. During the SAML configuration at the Axon end, check the Require SSO Authentication checkbox. This will force all the users to log in before using Axon. Refer to the following screenshot:require_sso_authentication2.png
  3. Remove server cache using the following command:
rm -rf <INSTALLATION_DIRECTORY>/axonhome/axon/app/cache/*
      4. From the IDP end, control the users who can log in to Axon. This will prevent all the users in the IDP from logging in to Axon.
