PowerCenter Workflow Manager crashes while opening a folder
Problem Description
PowerCenter Workflow Manager crashes while opening a folder. This issue occurs on a specific machine only and is not observed on other machines.
The Workflow Manager can connect to any Repository but is unable to open a folder in any repository.

One typical error that MAY occur is the following:
WorkflowManager Application has stopped working
A problem caused the program to stop working correctly.  Please close the program.
-> Close the program
-> Debug the program


This issue is not caused by Informatica client application. This issue occurs when Windows system files corresponding to client entry in Windows registry are corrupted.


To resolve this issue do the following:

  1. Clo​se the Workflow Manager if it is open.
  2.  Go to Start > Run and type regedit
  3.  Go to the key HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Informatica\PowerMart Client Tools\9.5.1
  4.  Select the Workflow Manager folder and export it as a backup file (File > Export)
  5.  Change the name (Edit > Rename) of the Workflow Manager folder (such as Workflow Manager_old)
  6.  Close the Registry Editor
  7. Start Workflow Manager.

The folder should open without error now.
