Session fails to start and no session logs are generated in PowerCenter 9.1.0
Problem Description

In PowerCenter 9.1.0, session fails to start and no session logs are generated.
The following error is displayed in the Integration Service log:

SF_34030 Client application [PmDTM] failed to establish a connection through [12532]. System error is [10054], [Unknown error]

The following error is displayed in the Workflow log:

LM_44127 Failed to prepare the task [Session task instance ]


This issue occurs when the parameter file is corrupted.


Parameter file was generated without carriage returns to separate the parameters.

To resolve this issue, recreate the parameter files to include carriage returns to terminate each parameter entry.

The issue reported here is one possibility and there could be other reasons for the failure.
