Cause

This issue occurs because a previous infaservice.sh startup was run using the root user. This created some files owned by root user under $INFA_HOME/tomcat/jboss/server/informatica/tmp/deploy directory.

Starting version 9.6, the Reporting Service's home directory has changed to $INFA_HOME/services/ReportingService and the deployment files can be found under $INFA_HOME/services/ReportingService/jboss/server/informatica/tmp/deploy.

Solution
To resolve this issue, change the ownership of the files to PowerCenter installation owner for both the user and the group.
More Information

Do not run infaservice.sh startup as root user. It can lead to unexpected behavior.

To see the actual location of the deployment directory from catalina.out's output, look for Server Temp Dir.
