DVO jobs or workflow sessions crash when running on PowerCenter that runs on Linux 6.x
Problem Description
Data Validation Option (DVO) jobs or workflow sessions crash when running on PowerCenter that runs on Linux 6.x.
It is common that DVO job/workflow/session crashes after initializing the JVM, while running the session on PowerCenter running in Linux 6.x.
Cause
Solution
This is a known issue. However, an EBF 322161 is available for PowerCenter 9.1 HotFix 4/5/6 and PowerCenter 9.5.0/9.5.1/9.5.1 HotFix1/9.5.1 HotFix 2/9.5.1 HotFix3 versions.

In Linux 6.x, the DVO sessions crash right away after initializing the JVM. The EBF has been designed to initialize the JVM during the session startup than to initialize the JVM only when DVO related transformation as encountered.

The EBF can be downloaded from the following link:
https://tsftp.informatica.com
  1. Log in to the portal and search for EBF 322161.
  2. After applying the EBF, set the flag CreateJVMDuringInit to Yes at IS level as custom property in Admin Console. Then recycle the IS.

It is recommended to maintain separate IS for DVO as CreateJVMDuringInit and is tuned only to DVO sessions. For all non DVO workflow/session, use the IS without CreateJVMDuringInit property.
