"REP_12400: Repository Error (Can't find attribute with id: 31.)" when running TPT sessions after installing PowerCenter 9.5.1 HotFix 2 or later release
Problem Description
After upgrading to PowerCenter 9.5.1 HotFix 2 or later sessions using PowerExchange for Teradata PT connections fail with the following error:

2013-09-23 11:07:26 : ERROR : (27022 | MAPPING) : (IS | IS_ETL_DEV) : NODE01_DEV : TPTWR_31302 : [ERROR] Plug-in failed to create Target Drivers.
2013-09-23 11:07:26 : ERROR : (27022 | MAPPING) : (IS | IS_ETL_DEV) : NODE01_DEV : TPTWR_31301 : [ERROR] Plug-in failed to initialize Teradata PT Writer Plug-In.
2013-09-23 11:07:26 : ERROR : (27022 | MAPPING) : (IS | IS_ETL_DEV) : NODE01_DEV : SDKS_38007 : Error occurred during [initializing] writer plug-in #315000.
2013-09-23 11:07:26 : ERROR : (27022 | MAPPING) : (IS | IS_ETL_DEV) : NODE01_DEV : SDKS_38003 : Plug-in #315000's method PPluginDriver::init() failed.
2013-09-23 11:07:26 : INFO : (27022 | MAPPING) : (IS | IS_ETL_DEV) : NODE01_DEV : TPTWR_32302 : [INFO] De-Initialized Teradata PT Writer Plug-In.
2013-09-23 11:07:26 : INFO : (27022 | MAPPING) : (IS | IS_ETL_DEV) : NODE01_DEV : SDKS_38025 : Plug-in 315000 deinitialized and unloaded with status [-1].
2013-09-23 11:07:26 : ERROR : (27022 | MAPPING) : (IS | IS_ETL_DEV) : NODE01_DEV : TM_6006 : Error initializing DTM for session [s_INT_TD_Load_Mbr_Dim_1_1].
Cause
This issue occurs when the PowerExchange for Teradata PT plugin has not been registered after applying PowerCenter 9.5.1 HotFix 2 or later release.
Solution

​To resolve this issue, register the plugin as follows:

  1. In the Administration Console change the Repository Service to Exclusive mode.
  2. On server machine go to $INFA_HOME/server/bin directory.
  3. Run the following to connect to the repository:
    pmrep connect -r <repositoryname> -d <domain_name> -n <Repository_user_name> -x <Repository_password>
  4. Run the following command to register the Teradata PT plugin:
    pmrep registerplugin -i <INFA_HOME>/server/bin/native/TeradataPT.xml -e -N
  5. After successful execution, change the Repository Service to Normal mode.
  6. Run the TPT sessions.
More Information

​This issue might also occur while applying PowerCenter 9.5.1 HotFix 2 or HotFix 3.
