ERROR: "REP_51002 : Database driver event...Error occurred loading library [libclntsh.so.10.1: cannot open shared object file" while starting Repository Service
Problem Description

While starting Repository Service, the following error occurs:

REP_51002 : Database driver event...Error occurred loading library [libclntsh.so.10.1: cannot open shared object file: No
such file or directory]
Database driver event...Error occurred loading library [libpmora8.so]
Cause
This issue occurs when ldap.ora and sqlnet.ora files are missing due to incomplete installation of Oracle 11g and 12 c (or) if the ORACLE_HOME path is not set correctly.
Solution
1. Make sure ldap.ora and sqlnet.ora files are present during the installation of Oracle 11g and 12 c, under the following directory:

$ORACLE_HOME/PRODUCT/NETWORK/ADMIN

2. Make sure that your ORACLE_HOME path is set correctly (source <path>FILE_NAME) in your Informatica server machine.

3. Invoke sqlplus utility from Informatica Server machine and make sure that the Oracle connectivity is working as expected.

[osuser@hostname config]$ sqlplus username/password@connectstring

4. If the sqlplus utility is working fine, recycle the Informatica services from the same putty session for the environment variables to get picked up.

5. Repository Service should be available post restarting the Informatica services.

6. If the sqlplus utility is failing, contact Oracle admin team and makes sure that the connectivity first succeeds outside Informatica. Once sqlplus is successful, Repeat Step- 4 and Step -5 to solve the Repository Service issue.
