While exporting Business Glossary templates, the Export Status box becomes unresponsive in Analyst
Problem Description
In Enterprise Data Catalog (EDC) 10.2.1, when you run a Business Glossary Export, the following behavior can be noticed:

The screen becomes unresponsive, and the Analyst never finishes the export.

By checking the Analyst.log under <INFA_HOME>/logs/<Node_Name>/services/AnalystService/<Analyst_Service_Name>, the following error messages can be noticed:

2018-07-23 13:06:29,934 INFO  [LogFileDelegator] [BGCORE-0077] Started the export process.
2018-07-23 13:06:30,690 ERROR [LogFileDelegator] org.apache.poi.ss.usermodel.CellStyle.setBorderBottom(Lorg/apache/poi/ss/usermodel/BorderStyle;)V

Cause
Solution
This is a known issue in EDC 10.2.1 and has been addressed in the following releases:
  • 10.2.1 ServicePack 1
  • 10.2 HotFix 2
  • ​10.2.2

Note

Business Glossary usage is not supported for Big Data Management (BDM) 10.2.1; it is only supported for EDC 10.2.1.
