ERROR: Deleting a flat file object in IDQ does not automatically delete the object on the filesystem in IDQ 10.2
Problem Description

In Informatica Data Quality (IDQ), when a user creates a flat-file through a mapping, it is not being deleted automatically on the file system when the file is deleted via Developer.​​​

Cause
Solution

This is a known issue and FR PLAT-21320 has been submitted to track this issue. 

Workaround


Delete the file manually on the filesystem.
More Information
Perform the following steps to reproduce the error:

1. Add a physical data object in Developer and add it to a mapping.
2. Add any transformation and add a target for the output:

3. Run the mapping and observe if the target file has been created at the specified location:

4. Delete the flat file from the Developer:

5. Check the file system and see that the file is still available and has not been physically deleted.
