ERROR: "The Repository Service operation failed. ['[INFRA_30206] The requested repository lock could not be obtained within the timeout period. Try the operation again.']" while executing the workflows
Problem Description
In Informatica Data Quality (IDQ) 10.2, when executing the Workflows/mappings, the jobs are not getting triggered.

There is no process invoked for jobs and hence, we do not see any logs under $INFA_HOME\logs\Node_Name\services\DataIntegrationService\disLogs\workflow or under ms folder.

Whereas, following is the message seen from the DIS logs when the job is executed:
=======================================================================
The Repository Service operation failed. ['[INFRA_30206] The requested repository lock could not be obtained within the timeout period. Try the operation again.']
=======================================================================

There is no message in the DIS or in the Domain logs regarding the mapping/workflow execution.

Cause
Solution

There is a possibility that the work_dir contents are corrupted preventing the connection establishment to the MRS from the DIS.

To resolve the issue, remove the work_dir and enable the MRS, AS and DIS. Perform the following steps to resolve the issue:

  1. Disable  MRS , AS and DIS.
  2. Rename folders with MRS name , AS name and DIS name under work_dir present under $INFA_HOME\services folder.
  3. Redirect to $INFA_HOME\tomcat\temp\<DIS_Name> folder and delete the folder from this location.
  4. Redirect to $INFA_HOME\tomcat\temp\<AS_Name> folder and delete the folder from this location.
  5. Enable the MRS.
  6. Enable the DIS.
  7. Enable the AS.
