Feedback

For Oracle to Oracle replication "ALTER table XXXXX add column NEW_COLUMN CHAR(1)" on the source results in "ALTER table XXXXX add column NEW_COLUMN CHAR(1 CHAR)" on the target
Problem Description
In earlier versions of Informatica Data Replication (IDR), new columns in an ORACLE to ORACLE replication were replicated as follows:

ALTER table XXXXX add column NEW_COLUMN CHAR(1)

In IDR 9.7.0 and IDR 9.7.0 HotFix 1, new columns are now replicating with "CHAR" embedded in column length as follows:

ALTER table XXXXX add column NEW_COLUMN CHAR(1 CHAR)

Cause

This issue is caused by a bug (Bug IDR-3189) in the code of IDR 9.7.0 and 9.7.0 HotFix 1.

Solution
To resolve this issue, upgrade to IDR 9.7.0 HotFix 2 or later versions.
