ERROR: "PCSF_46003 Failed to understand the response from server at http://host:port/coreservices/DomainService/unauth" due to client and server compatibility issue with 10.2.0 HotFix 2 Server
Problem Description

While configuring 10.2 HotFix 2 domain using 10.2.x clients (except 10.2 HotFix 2 Client), the following error is noticed:

PCSF_46003 Failed to understand the response from server at http://host:port/coreservices/DomainService/unauth: [PCSF_46015] An unexpected token was encountered during deserialization.

Cause
10.2 HotFix2 server is expected to be compatible with lower version 10.2/10.2.0 HotFix 1 client. However, due to cross-realm Kerberos code changes, this compatibility requires a fix on 10.2 HotFix 2 Server for 10.2/10.2.0 HotFix 1 client to communicate.
Solution

Workaround 1:

Use the same version of the client to connect to 10.2 HotFix 2 server (Repositories).

Workaround 2:

Apply EBF-14581. Contact Informatica Global Support to get the EBF.

IMPORTANT NOTE:

1. Fix goes on the server side (which allows an older version of the client to be able to connect).
2. In the client side, there is no fix required. If the client is 10.2.0 or 10.2.0 HF1 version (this is true for CLUs as well as GUI clients)
3. If the server is patched, then 10.2.0 HotFix 2 clients are required to be patched.

What this means also is that any 10.2.0 HotFix 2 client that is patched would require any server of 10.2.0 HotFix 2 that it is communicating to also be patched.
