Cause
The encountered issue happens when ODBC configurations are not done properly in DOMAIN.
Solution
Set the following environment variable in the Domain:

There are 2 ways to access data in SQL Server Resource:

Using DSN and without DSN

In case [Use DSN] set to [NO]:

In the Informatica Administrator > Connection tab, Go to the Connection and in the [Data Access Properties], set [Use DSN] to FALSE (uncheck) and Connection String [SQL_SERVER_HOST_NAME@DB_NAME]

In case [use DSN] set to [YES]:

Edit the odbc.ini file  [$INFA_HOME/ODBC7.1/odbc.ini] and Create a DSN with the name [DSN_NAME].
  • Edit the file: $INFA_HOME/ODBC7.1/odbc.ini
  • Copy and paste the complete section [SQL Server Wire Protocol] (with all the below values) and rename it to [DSN_NAME].
