"SSL Provider: The client and server cannot communicate, because they do not possess a common algorithm" while reading from SQL Server using OLEDB type, and, after installing the SQL Server Native Client (SNAC)
Problem Description
When reading from SQL Server using OLEDB type, and, after installing the SQL Server Native Client (SNAC), the following message is displayed:

Cause
The SNAC installed comes from the Microsoft SQL Server 2012 Feature Pack, you can find in this link:
https://www.microsoft.com/en-in/download/details.aspx?id=29065

But the SNAC included in the Feature Pack is not the latest version, even though it is recommended to connect to SQL Server 2016, according to Microsoft:

Solution
This issue is resolved after consulting with Microsoft, installing the most up to date SQL Server 2012 Native Client version from this link:


Despite the date is older than the one in the Feature Pack.

​Before installing the SNAC from the Feature Pack, you get an error message as follows:
