ERROR: "java.sql.SQLException: [Amazon](500310) Invalid operation: no pg_hba.conf entry for host "::ffff:xx.xx.xx.xx", user "connectiontest", database "xxxxx", SSL off;" while running a session connecting to Amazon Redshift
Problem Description
Session connecting to Amazon Redshift fails with the following error:

java.sql.SQLException: [Amazon](500310) Invalid operation: no pg_hba.conf entry for host "::ffff:xx.xx.xx.xx", user "connectiontest", database "xxxxx", SSL off;

This connection works fine outside Informatica.
Cause
Solution
To resolve this issue, give the schema name in the import window in PowerCenter Designer.

In this case, used ssl=TRUE in the JDBC URL.

Example

jdbc:redshift://ipaddress>:<port>/<database/schema?ssl=TRUE

In some cases, the user's Redshift admin has made it mandatory to give schema name while establishing connection which is optional in generic cases.
