TDM 9.5.2 ilmcmd import policy fails with error: "java.security.InvalidAlgorithmParameterException: the trustAnchors parameter must be non-empty"
Problem Description

When you import a policy using the ilmcmd command prompt, it fails with the below error:

java.security.InvalidAlgorithmParameterException: the trustAnchors parameter must be non-empty

Cause

This could occur when the ilmcmd configuration file (userConfig.ilm under TDM\utilities\ilmcli\conf)is not configured properly for the current tdm instance on which the import is done.

For example, the current instance is not configured for HTTPS but the command expects the instance to be configured with the keystore.

Solution

To resolve this issue, do the following:

  1. Edit the userConfig.ilm under TDM\utilities\ilmcli\conf directory.
  2. Change the isHTTPS=true to
    isHTTPS=false
  3. Save the file and re-run the command again.
