When running a PowerCenter session with multiple caching transformations, is the memory used by each transformation cache released before each downstream transformation cache allocates memory?
If a session allocates 500MB for a Sorter transformation cache and 500MB for the Joiner transformation cache, is the Sorter memory released before it proceeds with the Joiner?
PowerCenter sessions allocated the entire memory specified for all transformations in the mapping and holds on to all of the memory until the session is finished.
In this example the memory allocated for the Sorter will be heldtill the end of the session (so does the Joiner memory and all other Transformation memory).
