"[IBM][CLI Driver] CLI0112E  Error in assignment. SQLSTATE=22005 sqlstate = 22005" running a PowerCenter session with a DB2 source and a SQL Override
Problem Description

A PowerCenter session fails with the following error in the session log when attempting to read data from a DB2 source:

ERROR : RR_4035 SQL Error [[IBM][CLI Driver] CLI0112E Error in assignment. SQLSTATE=22005 sqlstate = 22005 Database driver error...
Function Name : Fetch

Cause

This error occurs when a SQL override is used in the session or in the source qualifier and the number or order of the columns in the SQL is incorrect.

Solution

To resolve this issue, confirm the following:

  • The order of the columns in the SELECT statement of the SQL override is the same as the order of the ports in the Source Qualifier transformation.
  • The number of the columns in the SELECT statement of the SQL override is the same as the number of the ports in the Source Qualifier transformation.
